Mercy Education office staff conducted a mentorship program for the class eight candidates during the second term holiday break. This program aimed to empower the learners to navigate through different issues they face as young people and as they transition to secondary school life. It was also meant to motivate and ease their pressure before they sit for KCPE.

The event took place on three consecutive days; the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd Aug 2023 at St. Catherine Primary School. A total of 25 students participated in the program. Topics covered included; friendships and peer pressure, self-awareness, character (under the theme, “your character counts”), child trafficking, children's rights and responsibilities, drug and substance abuse, HIV and AIDS, human sexuality, and goal setting.
